I'm leaving you, England. (For a year or two)

I haven't really told anyone what I'm up to this year, because it was never quite certain. But today my visa was approved at the U.S. Embassy in London and I'm pretty sure I'm going to America. 

In two weeks.

Trying to organise this has absolutely destroyed me. I never knew it was going to take so long, nor periodically turn me into all characters of Winnie the Pooh.

Such is life.

I am in London this weekend. On Monday I return to Cornwall and am there until I leave England (8th October).

I will be moving to Springfield, VA which is in the suburbs outside Washington, DC. I will be living as an au pair with my host family, it's going to be great fun once I've settled in!

I'm sure none of this is news to my American friends, there's a little yankee bird keeping you informed.

I am really looking forward to the year ahead. I will get to know a lovely little girl and her mother like my own family, travel around, meet lots of new people and also see much more of the familiar faces from my trip this past April.

Now that all I've left to do is say my goodbyes and pack if anyone wants to get hold of me please do!! 

I am going to miss everyone a ton, even those I haven't had the chance to see in a very long time. Thanks to the internet I can still communicate with everyone I care about instantaneously.
